H-Series
Pup Joints
H-SERIES Pup joints are manufactured from the same material
as our H-SERIES drill collars. Heat-treatment processes
ensure a hardness range of 285-341 Brinell. Charpy "V"
notch minimum impact strength of 40 ft-lb at 70° F
are guaranteed one inch below the surface.
H-SERIES integral drill pipe pups are heat treated to
120,000 psi minimum yield. Integral pups have the same
tensile and torsional rating of S-135 drill pipe with
the same pin ID. All connections are phosphate-coated
to improve resistance to galling.
Standard lengths are 5 ft, 10 ft, 15 ft, and 20 ft. Additional
sizes are available upon request.
Same-size pup joints 10 ft and longer can be produced
as welded assemblies. |

Protectors

for its drill stem products. |

Lift
Subs and Lift Plugs
H-SERIES Lift Subs and Plugs are manufactured to the same
specifications used for H-SERIES drill collars.

Rotary
Subs
H-SERIES rotary subs are available in standard lengths
of 36" or 48". Rotary subs are manufactured
from drill collar material trepanned and drifted to API
Spec. 7 requirements. |

Rotary
Kellys
Grant Prideco offers square and hexagonal kellys. Kellys
are available up to 46 feet long. Our kellys are made
from 4145-modified alloy bars that are quenched and tempered
full length. A hardness range of 285 to 341 BHN and a
minimum impact value of 40 ft-lbs are maintained one inch
below the surface at room temperature. All ends and center
drive sections are machined. Grant Prideco kellys are
precision-trepanned to provide true bores. They are drifted
to API specifications, and all connections are machined.
Grant Prideco kellys are stamped with the API monogram,
where applicable. |
