Grant Prideco’s new Viper connector is a high-strength, weld-on casing and con-ductor connection designed to meet a variety of offshore applications. The
innovative self-aligning Viper design includes three separate fea-tures
to maintain pin and box thread engagement under extreme
loads: the OD capture feature, the negative load flank angle and
the tapered positive stop load shoulder. The single thread start
version of this connector makes up in less than two turns.
